He started his video creation journey after getting inspired by Ashish Chanchlani and Amit Bhadana on YouTube. He posted his first video on 29 April 2016, and since then, he has been making videos. Currently, on his YouTube channel, he has over 15.6 subscribers on his main channel and in his vlog channel, he has 8.45 million subscribers. His main channel name was initially “The Social Factory,” but later, he changed it to “Elvish Yadav.” He primarily creates fiction and conceptual short videos. On his vlog channel, he uploads daily vlogs and passes statements about the new launch of movies and other kinds of stuff.
In 2023, he entered the Bigg Boss OTT house as a Wild Card Contestant and came out as the winner of the show.

2020
He used to make roasting videos on his YouTube channel, where he targeted TikTok videos. He roasted several TikTok artists, including Mr Faizu, Amir Siddiqui, Riyaz, etc. It led to spark controversy among these creators.
2021
In 2021, he was trolled for making sexist comments and commentary to Kusha Kapila, who is a female actress and comedian. His remarks were widely circulated of his online abuse and bullying, which sparked controversy.
2023
In March 2023, he was trolled on social media for his links with a government-owned pot theft case. He clarified by making a tweet on Twitter, stating that the vehicle displayed in the video linked to theft did not belong to him.
He faced hate and criticism when he misgendered Arjun Bijlani as a woman in September 2023. This remark drew lots of hate and condemnation from his fans.
2024
Noida Police filed an FIR against him along with five others on 3 November 2023. Police found nine venomous snakes, including Cobras, in their possession. These snakes and their venoms were used in the suspected illicit raves. This case was initiated on the complaint from the BJP MP Maneka Gandhi NGO. He accused Elvish Yadav of shooting videos with snakes, along with hosting unauthorized parties with snake venom and drugs.On the behalf of an undercover operation, five individuals were arrested, and they named Yadav as the mastermind.

On 17 March 2024, Elvish Yadav and five others were arrested under the Wild Life (Protection) Act 1972 and Section 120 A of the IPC for arranging snake venom at rave parties. After that, they were sent for 14 days in Judicial Custody, where he confessed to organizing snake venom. He was granted bail by the Gautam Buddha Nagar district court on 22 March 2024.

In his vlog, Elvish talked about the Pahalgam terrorist attack in which he spoke of the officer’s wife, Himanshi, as his college mate. While he was watching the news about this terrorist attack, he came across a viral video of the grieving widow. At first look, he could not recognise her but when he took a closer look, he was shocked that she was his college friend Himanshi from Hansraj College. They both passed out in 2018 and since then they haven’t talked. He said that when they were in college, they both used to go and come from the metro to college and home. In order to know about her situation, he had her number but did not call because it was not a good time to talk, instead, he called another common friend. The common friend picked up the call and instantly said she was Himanshi, she also said that she didn’t pick up her 30 calls, but Himanshi picked up the 31st call.
