In the early years of his career, he worked as a road crew for hip-hop groups like Cypress Hill and House of Pain. Then he became a member of the hip-hop group “The Whooliganz” with The Alchemist. They signed a record contract with Tommy Boy/Warner Bros. Records to record the album “Make Way For The W”, but their album was cancelled and they were dropped by Tommy Boy. Fortunately, their first single, “Put Your Handz Up” was released. Their single song “Whooliganz” was released in the UK in 1995. At that time, they had both separated their ways. Then in 2014, they both reunited with The Alchemist with the project Lord Steppington “Byron G.”
Acting Career
While he was pursuing his acting course at Playhouse West, he started his acting career in the late 1990s. Initially, he appeared in several independent films with low budgets. He got his major role as Charlie Tweeder in Varsity Blues in 1999. In the same year, he played the role of Drew in Saturn, also known as Speed of light. After these, he instantly gained momentum where he featured in well known studio films such as Ready to Rumble (2000), Boiler Room (2000), Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), American Outlaws (2001) and many more.
Writing Career
In 2003, he wrote, directed and played a lead role in the film Dallas 362, which helped him to win the Critics Award at CineVegas Film Festival. Then in 2006, he also wrote, Directed and played the Supporting role of Casper in the film The Dog Problem.
Photography Career
In addition to his other works, he is also a famous photographer. He developed an interest towards photography while he was working in his 2003 directorial debut film Dallas 362. During this project, he hot inspired by the cinematographer Phil Parmet. Phil helped him to learn about lenses, framing, camera operations and lighting. After the shooting, he regularly shoots with the camera. In 2009, he published his own photography book named “Scott Caan Photographs, Vol.1.” This book has 256 pages, which were edited and designed by Howard Nourmand.

Rude Comments About Hawaii
When he was promoting his TV series “Hawaii Five-0” on The Late Show with David Letterman. He made comments that he did not like Hawaii because “Everything’s very slow motion. I don’t like it.” The comments gave me loads of backlash from the local audience which later went to his apologies.
