His father, Sanjiv Suryavanshi is a farmer by profession. He has been the man behind him, who is always standing behind him. His father left his work to support him in his cricketing career, despite the poor financial condition of the home. His father, Sanjiv, sold land in Motipur to fund his cricket training and expenses. His mother’s name is not available at the moment but she played a great role. When he woke up in the morning at 2AM, his mother cooked food. His mother sometime slept around 11 PM at night and then woke up at 2 AM in order to cook food for him, taking only 3 hours of sleep.

Early Life
Vaibhav hails from the small village of Bihar. He was born and brought up in Tajpur. When he was 4 years old, his father observed him playing cricket with a plastic ball and hitting the ball with pure power. After returning from the field, his father started training him at home. After that, his father built a small cricket playing ground in his house’s backyard in order to train him.
He used to practice there with some kids in his neighbourhood. His father used to call the neighbourhood kids to bowl him. After training for 4-5 years, his father took him to Samastipur city where he got admitted to a cricket academy. He was trained by coach Brijesh in the academy.
This academy didn’t have that much good infrastructure, so his father took him to Patna for practice. Very soon, he gave his Under-16 trials for the Vijay Merchant Trophy. However, he was set aside on hold due to his age issues.
Domestic Career
He began his cricket career by playing the Heman Trophy, an inter-district tournament. In this tournament, he scored the highest runs in the Bihar team. He scored 800 runs in 8 matches. At the age of 12, he participated in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy where he scored 297 runs in 3 matches with an average of 99. He ended up as the top scorer in the tournament. He broke the record of Yuvraj Singh to play in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar and overall 4th youngest.
In November 2024, he became the youngest cricket player to sign an IPL contract when he joined Rajasthan Royals at the age of 13. He was purchased for ₹1.10 Crore. Additionally, he became the youngest player to play List A cricket in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Bihar. He faced the first match against Madhya Pradesh in Hyderabad.
On 19 April 2025, he played an IPL match from Rajasthan Royals team against Lucknow Super Giants as an Impact Player. He banged six in his first ball bowled by Shardul Thakur. He scored 34 runs in 20 balls, his innings was full of thrilling entertainment. He was stumped by Rishabh Pant.
On 28 April, Monday, he crushed Gujarat Titans bowlers with his immense hitting powers. He scored 101 runs in just 38 balls by hitting 11 sixes and 7 fours, banging 94 runs with hitting boundaries. He became the first Indian player to hit a century in 35 balls, surpassing Yusuf Pathan with 37 balls and became the first Indian to hit 11 sixes in a match. His wicket was taken by b Prasidh Krishna in 11.5 over.

International Career
He played for the India B team Under-19 side in a Quadrangular Series in 2023. In this series, he scored 177 runs in six innings, including two half centuries.
He made in debut in India Under 19 Test debut against the Australia Under 19 cricket team in September 2024. Here he scored a 104 runs in 58 balls. He hit the fastest century by an Indian under-19 player. Further, this inning was the second fastest century in the Under-19 international cricket.

In Under 19 Asia Cup, he tossed 76 runs by facing 46 balls alongside the UAE Under-19 team in 2024. In the semi-final match, he banged 67 runs by facing 36 balls against Sri Lanka. In this tournament, he scored total 176 runs at an average of 44.

In 2024, he was accused of committing fraud as several people claimed that he was 15 years old instead of 13. However, his father dismissed the claims and rumours. His father said that when he was eight and a half years old, he appeared for his first BCCI bone test and could again undergo an age test.
